- Obituary of Paul Revere Spencer
Paul R. Spencer, 67, died Tuesday at a Fairlea hospital following a short illness.
Born March 28, 1919, at Honeydew, he was the son of the late Millard and Eva Wells Spencer.
Mr. Spencer was a World War II veteran having received a Bronze Star. He was a member of the Sam Black United Methodist Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the United Mine Workers.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Moore Spencer; three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Palma Lee) Cook of Leslie, and Mrs. Bill (Pamela) Witt and Peggy Spencer, both of Smoot; a brother, Jack Spencer of Lake Geneva, Fla.; one grandchild and four stepgrandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Wallace and Wallace Chapel in Rainelle...and entombment in the Wallace Memorial Park Mausoleum at Clintonville.
