- Obituary -- Ella Janet Cochran Walkup
Ella Janet Cochran Walkup, 77, of Hines passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at LewisGale Hospital in Salem, Virginia following a short illness.
Born on November 20, 1943 in Rupert, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Emma Cochran.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Kenney; brothers, Clyde Cochran and Carl Cochran; brother-in-law, Delmas Childers.
Janet was a member of the Beaver Creek Baptist Church and a former beautician.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Walkup; son, Kevin (Tina) Robinson of Keller, TX; grandsons, Aaron of Keller, TX, Chris (Becky) ; great grandson, Carter of Idaho Falls, Idaho; step sons, Steven Walkup of Caldwell, Darren Walkup and his wife and daughters of Michigan and William Miller of Virginia; step daughters, Angela Moody and Jackie Rickman; step grandson, Tony Walkup of Conway, SC; sister, Jeanie Childers of Navarre, OH; brothers, James Cochran of Bradenton, FL, Ray Cochran of Rupert and Fred (Jill) Cochran of Lewisburg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
