Greenbrier Ex-Police Chief Dies
EAST RAINELLE - Oattie Elmer Jones, formerly chief of police in East Rainelle, died Sunday in Charleston Memorial Hospital after a four month illness.
Mr. Jones, 70, was a retired coal operator and member of the East Rainelle Elks Club.
Surviving are his widow, Ora; three brothers, J. N. of East Rainelle, Olin O. and Derry, both of Charleston; three half-brothers, Elden, Hugh and Hayward, all of Charleston.
Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in East Rainelle by the Rev. Henry O. Loving and the Rev. P.E. Orndorff. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
