- Obituary -- Elwood O'Dell
RUPERT -- Elwood O'Dell, 75, passed away Friday, June 6, 2003 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, following a long illness.
Born Aug. t, 1927, in Nicholas County, he was the son of the late Harvey Hubert and Lovie Jane Hellems O'Dell.
Mr. O'Dell was a member of First Baptist Church of Quinwood, a member of the UMWA and a retired coal miner.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Dwight O'Dell.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Glendalene McClung O'Dell, a daughter, Sue Ann McGrew and husband Jack of Thomasville, N.C.; a son, Roger Dean O'Delland wife Ann of Rainelle; two brothers, Ernie O'Dell of Quinwood and Woody O'Dell of Fayeteville; four grandchildren, Joshua Dean O'Dell and wife Sheila, of Beaver, Kendra Lewis and and husband Keith of Jacksonville, N.C., Laura McGrew of Thomasville, N.C., and Jacklyn McGrew of Thomasville; and a greatgrandchild, Dylan Tyler O'Dell of Beaver.
Service will be 11 a. m. Monday at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle, with the Revs. Troy George and Houston Boothe officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
