      Obituary for Maxine Marie Golden

      Maxine Marie Golden, 89, of Crichton passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Meadow Garden, Rainelle.

      Born on February 28, 1928, at Marfrance, she was the daughter of the late Albert Mack and Blanche Legg Williams.

      In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Gretchen; sisters, Reba, Emogine and Wanda; brothers, Arthur, Albert Mack, Jr. and Averil.

      Maxine was a member of Crichton United Methodist Church and formerly worked as a clerk at the Crichton Water Plant and the coal company store at Quinwood.

      Survivors are her husband, Vanel of Crichton; son, Larry (Margaret) Golden of Rainelle; grandson, Andrew (Joanie) Golden of Sterling, VA; granddaughter, Sara (Arden) Golden Hamrick of South Charleston; great granddaughters, Zinnia Hamrick, Alara Hamrick of South Charleston; sister-in-law, Mary (Averil) of Asheville, NC; numerous nieces and nephews and one special niece, Jay.

      Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rupert with Chaplain Mike McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 1:00 until time of service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of Meadow Garden for their wonderful and loving care of Mrs. Golden.
