  Beckley Post-Herald, 24 January 1972 Greenbrier Man Dies In Hospital LEWISBURG (RNS) - William Carl Patterson, 72, of Lewisburg died in a Ronceverte hospital at 4:15 p.m. Sunday after a short illness. Born Nov. 11, 1899, he was a son of the late Andrew Jackson and Emma Jane Kelley Patterson. He was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church, a lifelong resident of Greenbrier County and was retired from West Virginia's Department of Highways. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ada Patterson of Lewisburg; three sons, Carl A. of Fairlea, Warren K. (Red) of Lewisburg and Jimmy Dale of Hocksteyer, Germany; a brother, J. C. of Clintonville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at McGraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg. Funeral services for William Carl Patterson, 73, of Lewisburg will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at McCraw Funeral Home Chapel in Lewisburg with Rev. Leroy Crane in charge. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville. Patterson died in a Ronceverte hospital at 4:15 p.m. Sunday after a short illness.
