- Frances Imogene Hill, 78, of Williston, S.C., died Friday, Jan. 13, at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at Dyches Funeral Home Chapel in Barnwell, S.C., with the Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at Dyches Funeral Home. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Grand View Cemetery in West Virginia.
Born in Crawley, W.Va., Mrs. Hill was the daughter of the late Lonzoe William Scruggs and Ethel Mildred Walkup Scruggs. She was a retired seamstress and was a member of Greenpond Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by many.
Survivors include a son, William C. Hill and his wife Tracie of Walterboro, S.C.; three daughters, Sandra Cremeans and her husband Lanny of Barboursville, W.Va., Judy Worley and her husband Tom of Hampton, Va. and Jo Anna Dodd and her husband Glenn of Baxter, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Carrie Valentine of Virginia Beach, Va., T.C. Worley of Minneapolis, Minn., Heather Dodd of Baxter, Tenn., Hillary Dodd of Cleveland, Tenn., Brisen Schubert, Cameron Kane and Ashby Kane, all of Walterboro, S.C.; five great-grandchildren, Caleb Valentine, Clay Valentine and Aubrey Valentine, all of Virginia Beach, Va., Jack Worley and Boone Worley of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Carolyn Sue Kight of Williston, S.C., and Willa Dean Jordan of Barnwell, S.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cameron "Cam" Hill Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home of Barnwell, S.C., with the arrangements.
