East Rainelle Man Arrested in Killing
LEWISBURG, Feb. 17 (AP) - Sorp. Harley Locke of the state police placed Alex Christie, East Rainelle restaurant proprietor, in the Greenbrier county jail today in connection with the fatal stabbing of "Red" Surbaugh.
Surbaugh died in a hospital a few hours after an altercation at East Rainelle last night.

Restaurant Proprietor Faces Grand Jury Action
LEWISBURG, Feb. 19, ?(AP)? Alex Christie, East Rainelle restaurant proprietor, faced action of the March grand jury today in connection with the fatal stabbing of Norval (Red) Surbaugh Tuesday.
He received a hearing before Justice R. G. Martin. Christie claimed he stabbed Surbaugh in self defense.
