RUPERT - Dollie Lee ?Jackie? Shafer, 86, of Rupert, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 4, 2007, at University of Virginia Hospital at Charlottesville, Va., following a short illness.
Born Sept. 12, 1921, at Rainelle, she was a daughter of the late William Elvin and Kathryn Amanda Zopp Shafer.
Jackie was a member of Big Clear Creek Baptist Church of Rupert and a member of the Rupert Woman?s Club. She was the owner and operator of Shafer Hardware Store in Rupert for many years.
Survivors include a brother, William ?Bill? Clyde Shafer and wife, Mina, of Rupert; three nieces, Wyon Wheatley of Colonial Heights, Va., Jill Mayer and husband, Mike, of Petersburg, Va., and Billie Jean Shafer of Rupert; and two special friends, Cindy Harris and Earl Arnett.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle, with the Rev. Gene Kuhn officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call one hour before service.
