ORIENT HILL - Mrs. Ludie Ann Dooley, 55, of Tavares, Fla., formerly of Orient Hill, Greeenbrier County, died Tuesday in a Montgomery hospital after a long illness.
She was a member of the Orient Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving: husband, Paul; daughter, Mrs. Lawana McCraney of Flint, Mich.; stepdaughters, Mrs. Phala Gardner and Mrs. Geraldine Jameson, both of Moore. Okla.; son, Robert of Jacksonville, Fla.; mother, Mrs.Alvina Crane of Orient Hill; sisters, Mrs. Arthena Redden and Miss Martha Crane, both of Orient Hill, Mrs. Lackie Banton of Beards Fork, Mrs. Erna Poe and Mrs. Marie Booth, both of Riverdale, Md., Mrs. Mary Clem of El Sobrante, Calif.; half-sisters, Mrs. Ivy Brown of Rainelle, Mrs. Thelma Powers of Crawley; brothers, Ray Crane of Upper Marlboro, Md., Roy Crane of Fallsview; half-brother, Wilbert Simmons of Beckley; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Service will be 1 p.m. Friday in Orient Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Houston Booth officiating. Burial will be in Groves Cemetery, Canvas.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle. The body will be taken to the church one hour before service.
