  The Charleston Daily Mail, 15 March 1954 Elijah McClung, Of Dawson Dies Elijah Robert McClung, 87, of Dawson, Greenbrier county, died yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. R. S. Martin of Little Tyler Mountain, after a long illess. A retired farmer, he was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church at Dawson, and of Lodge 372, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, at East Rainelle. Also surviving are three other daughters, Mrs. E. Maye Woolard of Charleston, Mrs. John Elwell of Fayetteville, and Mrs. C. H. Wells of Dawson; a son, R. H. McClung of Norfolk, Va.; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services were to be today at 10 a. m. in Bartlett mortuary chapel with the Rev. T. Howard Kingston officiating. The body was then to be taken to Wallace and Wallace mortuary in East Rainelle. Additional services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Meadow Grove Baptist church with the Rev. Robert Quesenberry officiating. Burial will be in Dolin cemetery near Dawson. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services.
