RAINELLE - Roland "Greaser" Ruffner, 85, of Rainelle, died Monday, Sept. 2, 1996, in a Fairlea hospital after a short illness. He was a former Greenbrier County constable, a retired Rainelle city policeman and an Army Veteran. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Rainelle, and the VFW. Surviving: brother, Jack Ruffner of Fredrick, Md.; sisters, Ivy Robinson of Dickerson, Md., Ruth Viers of Rainelle. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Smathers Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Dana Gatewood and Keith Shumaker officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
