RUPERT - Robert E. "Bob" Crane, 54, of Tommy Hall Road, Rupert, died Thursday, July 31, 2003, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, following a sudden illness.
Born Nov. 17, 1948, at Rupert, he was a son of Laura Stout Crane of Rupert and the late Robert Elmer Crane, Sr.
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia; a brother, Dennis; and a grandson, Waylon.
Mr. Crane was a U.S. Army veteran, a security guard, and had worked as a coal miner and a tree trimmer.
Other than his mother, survivors include his wife, Rhonda Wilson Crane; a daughter, Sybil Crane of Pence Springs; a son, Michael Crane of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sisters, Brenda Cash, Glenna Cochran and Charlotte Crane, all of Rupert; a brother, Cody Crane of Moline, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Riley and Elliott.
Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Wallace and Wallace Chapel, Rainelle. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonvile.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
