ELMER E. WALKUP, 72, OF Greenwich, died Saturday, May 29, 1993, in Providence Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Sinks Grove, W.Va., and retired from Ford Motor Co. He was a member of Minnie Bell Baptist Church, Corless, W.Va., the UAW, Sandusky, Ohio, and American Legion, Fitchville, Ohio. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. Surviving: daughters, Diane Clark of Sandusky, Shelly Hamilton of New London, Ohio, Sue Ziemke of Norwalk, Ohio; sons, Gregory of Greenwich, Bert Price of Sandusky, David Price of Bellevue, Ohio; brothers, Richard of Lookout, W.Va., Fred of Denver, N.C.; sisters, Mary England of Lookout, Maude Burr of Oak Hill, W.Va., Margie Osborn of True, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren. Service was to be 11 a.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church, Sandusky, , with the Rev. Sam Wilson and the Rev. Wayne Mott officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Huron, Ohio. Groff Funeral Home, Sandusky, is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials to Erie (Ohio) County Cancer Society.
