QUINWOOD - William Ross Suttle, 75, of Quinwood, formerly of Rupert, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea following a short illness.
Born May 2, 1934 in Rupert, he was the son of the late Homer and Aunley McClung Suttle.
William worked in construction in Ohio for twenty years and spent eighteen years with Beitz Trucking in Rupert as an equipment operator. He served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the Advent Christian Church of Quinwood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Sampson of Parkersburg and a brother, Robert Suttle of Buckeye Lake, OH.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Suttle of Quinwood; two daughters, Terri Sellers and husband, Richard of Pataskala, Ohio, and Tina McCrae and husband, Robert of Sumter, S.C.; two stepdaughters, Pam Rookstool of Quinwood and Vonna Cale and husband, Jim of Chesterfield, Va.; a sister, Shirley Ballengee and husband, Emory of Rupert; two grandchildren, Bobbi J. McCrae of Fort Mill, S.C. and Chelsea G. Lane of Pataskala, Ohio; five step grandchildren, Joshua Rookstool and wife, Jenni of Va, James Cale Jr. and Michael Cale, both of Virginia, Rodney Sellers of N.C. and Chad Sellers of Ohio; four great grandchildren; two nephews, Bruce Ballengee of Virginia and Leslie Sampson of W.Va.; and many special friends.
Services will be 11 a.m., Sunday, September 13, 2009, at the Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle with Pastor Roy Boyd and Pastor Charles Meadows. Burial will follow at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Saturday, September 12, 2009, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joshua Rookstool, James Cale, Michael Cale, and sons-in-law, Richard Sellers, Robert McCrae and Richard Kincaid.
