Miss McClung Wed To Herbert Butcher
Miss Leah McClung and Mr. Herbert L. Butcher, both of this city, were married at 11 a.m. Monday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Clarence Taylor, in Weston. They stood before an improvised altar of pink and white peonies and roses. Rev. Fred Slaughter performed the ceremony in the presence of near relatives.
The bride wore a blue crepe dress, brown accessories and corsage of red roses. The daughter of Mrs. Etta McClung of Carl, W.Va., she is a graduate of Nicholas County high school, attended Alderson-Broaddus college and for two years has been employed by the Summersville Lumber Co. here.
Mr. Butcher is employed at the naval ordnance plant in South Charleston. He and his bride will reside in this city.
