  The Charleston Gazette, Wednesday, 27 July 1977 MACARTHUR - Earl Wiseman, 68, of MacArthur, Raleigh County, died Tuesday in a Beckley hospital after a short illness. He was a 30-year resident of MacArthur, a retired miner, and a member of the UMWA and the Moose Lodge. Surviving: wife, Mary; sons, Herbert of Libertyville, Ill., Robert "Toby" Wiseman of Norfolk, Va., James of Mabscott, Gary of MacArthur; daughter, Mrs. Betty Miller of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Mrs. Lola Kessler of Stotesbury, Mrs. Bessie Barry of Bluefield, Mrs. Flossie Martin of Sun, Mrs. Sylvia Fleshman and Mrs. Alice Hage, both of Crab Orchard; 10 grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Melton Funeral Home, Beckley, with the Rev. Robert Keaton officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
