Mary Rebecca Reed, age 85, of Shady Spring, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at the Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born at Blue Jay on March 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Smith Rollyson.
Mrs. Reed was a homemaker, was of the Methodist faith and had lived at Shady Spring for the past 12 years, having previously resided in Beaver.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Charles Prince and Wayne Reed; a great-grandson, Brandon Shrewsbury; and a son-in-law, Norman Gilkerson.
Survivors include sons, Kirk Prince and wife, Billye, of Shreveport, La., Charles Mack Prince of Shady Spring; daughters, Barbara Cogar of Shady Spring and Rebecca Gilkerson of Beaver; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel with the Rev. Betty Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memor ial Gardens, Beckley.
Friends may call 11 a.m. until time of the service today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
