Linda Fleshman Brooks, a cherished member of the Deep Creek community, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at the age of 70. She was the daughter of the late Harold David and Betty Hunter Fleshman. Linda was a devoted and active member of Deep Creek Baptist Church, where her faith and kindness shone brightly. She was also a valued member of the Lamplighter Connect Group, demonstrating her commitment to helping others and making her community a better place. Linda loved traveling, plants, Wednesday Night dinners, but above all else, her family and faith in God.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Douglas "Wayne" Brooks, who shared a lifetime of love and companionship with Linda. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and love. Linda's legacy lives on through her sons, Andy with wife Rebecca, Ryan with wife Abbey, Justin; granddaughter, Isabel (Andy's daughter); and grandsons, Mason and Connor (Ryan's sons).
Linda is also survived by her siblings; Sharon Banta with husband John, Harold "Hal" Fleshman, Randall "Randy" Fleshman; sisters-in-law, Lucy Wilson with husband Robert, and Karen Ryder; brother-in-law, Dudley Brooks along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Rd., Chesapeake, VA on September 30,2023 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. A memorial to celebrate her life will be held at Deep Creek Baptist Church on October 1, 2023 at 3pm with Pastor Larry Ryals officiating.
