Sara "Sadie" Baldwin Cox, 90, passed away Monday, March 29, 2004, after a short illness.
Mrs. Cox was a homemaker, a long-time resident of Spring Creek and lived most recently at the Greenbrier Manor at Fairlea.
She was born Aug. 28, 1913, at Cordova, a daughter of the late Leonard and Vinecia Stanley Baldwin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade B. Cox, on Dec. 5, 1972; a son, Ronald Cox, and an infant daughter.
She is survived by a daughter, Vana McClure of New York; sons, Davis Cox of Massachusetts, Harley Cox of Alaska and Bradley Cox of Renick; a brother, Darren Baldwin of Lewisburg; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg with the Rev. Phyllis Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery in Renick.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
