Man in Nicholas Co. Dies in Hospital
FENWICK (RNS) - Lovell Steward Pittsenbarger, 77, of Fenwick died Thursday in a Richwood hospital after a long illness.
Born Nov. 10, 1891 in Nicholas County, he was a son of the late Jasper and Sena O'Dell Pittsenbarger.
He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion Post 97 of Richwood, the Eureka Methodist Church and was a retired coal miner.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Amick Pittsenbarger; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Rardin, at home, Mrs. Marvin McCombs of Leivasy and Mrs. Denver Martin of Covington, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Everette Bailes of Crichton, Mrs. Branchie Connard of Leivasy; two brothers, Oat Pittsenbarger of Leivasy and Jack Pittsenbarger of Richwood; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Carl Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Skaggs, Rev. Charles Rogers and Rev. Neal Dent in charge. Burial will be in the Carl Cemetery.
The body will be taken from the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Rainelle to the home at noon Sunday.
Graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 97 of Richwood.
