Leo C. Campbell
RUSSELLVILLE - Leo C. Campbell, 78, died Sunday, July 11, 1993, in a Low Moor, Va. hospital following a long illness.
Born June 16, 1915 at Russellville, he was the son of the late James Caperton and Uriah Mitchell Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was a Christian and a member of the Russellville Baptist Church and the UMW and was a retired coal miner.
He was a 1934 graduate of Nuttall High School.
He was preceeded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Josephine Campbell and three brothers, Lindsey, Eugene, and Jason Campbell.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Pitsenbarger Campbell; three daughters, Barbara Walker of Stanaford, Margarette Sovine and Judy Isaacs, both of Russellville; a son, Howard Campbell of Russellville; a stepdaughter, Patty Jones of Meadow Bridge; a stepson, Fred "Bucky" Berry of Layland; three sisters, Evelyn Haynes of San Jose, Calif., Verna White of Oak Lawn, Ill. and Ruth Skaggs of Summersville; a brother, Fletcher Campbell of Lookout; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren, and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
