CLINTONVILLE - Rita Hayslett Bennett, 90, of Loudermilk Road, passed away Monday, March 8, 2004, at her home following a short illness.
Born March 24, 1913, at Clintonville, she was a daughter of the late Loniel S. and Stella Pearl Bryant Hayslett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Bennett, in 1985, and five brothers, Waldo, Snowden, Roscoe, John Raymond and Reynard.
Rita was a member of Sunrise Chapel United Methodist Church of Clintonville, a member of Senior Friends, Extension Homemakers and 4-H leader, and a homemaker.
She is survived by a sister, Louise Smiley of Cross Lanes; two brothers, Emory Hayslett of Cullom, Ill., and Clifford Hayslett of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sunrise Chapel United Methodist Church, Clintonville, with Pastor Jay Hicks and the Rev. Lowell E. Keeney officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
