HILTON VILLAGE - Louise Cathern "Granny" Willis, 90, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, Oct. 9, 2006.
Born May 4, 1916, at Nallen, to the late Duffy and Novella McClung. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Willis; two brothers, Donald and Bud McClung; two sons, Robert and Bruce Willis; and three grandchildren, Lilian Catala, Joel Willis and Vern Allen Dunlap.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Vada Loftis, and niece, Denise Loftis, both of Petersburg, Va.; three sons, Freddy of Hilton Village, Kenneth and his wife, Charlene, of Green Brier, Tenn., and Charles of Westland, Mich.; five daughters, Alice Dunlap and her husband, Vern, of Hico, Shirley Henning and her husband, Leonard, of Mount Lookout, Patricia Rider of Hilton Village, Margaret Gaster and husband, Terry, of Westland, Mich., Pamela Strunk and her husband, David, of Hilton Village; a daughter-in-law, Kay A. Willis, whom she loved like a daughter, of Westland, Mich.; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Russellville Baptist Church and was respectfully known as "Granny" by all who knew and loved her. Heaven became an even sweeter place the day the Lord called her home.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Chapel, Ansted with Pastor Mike Tincher officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Ansted.
