LEIVASY — Clark "Monty" McClung, 66, of Leivasy, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, following an extended illness.
Born December 10, 1943, in Nicholas County, he was the son of the late Grisby C. and Annie Orndorff McClung.
Monty was a disabled coal miner and a former member of the UMWA. He was also a member of the Mt. Urim Baptist Church of Green Valley.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Lee McClung, Wilma Fleener and Leora McClung; and two brothers, Charlton and Shirley McClung.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol O'Dell McClung of Leivasy; two daughters, Robin Tuckwiller and husband, Eugene of Rainelle and Karen Beth Davis and husband, Mark of Leivasy; one sister, Celesta Swartz of Mt. Nebo; two brothers, Rannie McClung of Mt. Nebo and Rev. Timothy McClung of Mt. Nebo; five grandchildren, Mary Davis Caufield, Montgomery Ray Tuckwiller, Kristen Rae Tuckwiller, Melissia Genelle Tuckwiller and Daniel Mark Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Mt. Urim Baptist church of Green Valley (near Leivasy) with Pastor Troy George officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2010, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle.
