Inquest Ordered In Train Death
Fenton A. Callison Dies Of injuries Near City; Worker Find Body
An inquest is to be held today in the death of Fenton A. Callison, 25 stop No. 5, Dunbar line, whose crushed body was found on the side of the New York Central railroad tracks near his home early yesterday morning.
Dr. James E. Roberts, Kanawha county coroner, said the inquest was ordered "to clear up several circumstances in the case."
The body was removed to the Noble Long funeral home pending funeral arrangements. J. H. Sanders of station B found the body as he walked to work.
The coroner said had Callison been taken to the hospital in time, his life may have been saved. Callison
apparently had been struck by a train and knocked from the tracks. He suffered a crushed jaw, broken leg and internal injuries.
Surviving are Callison's widow; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Callison of Montgomery; a brother, Franz Callison of Montgomery and five sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Skaggs of Alloy, Mrs. John Foster of Montgomery and Miss Helen Callison, Miss Louise Callison and Miss Betty Jane Callison of Montgomery.
