  The Charleston Gazette, Charleston, WV, 22 June 1990 ELVA L. MCCLUNG, 78, OF Summersville, died June 21, 1990, in Summersville Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a retired employee of the state Department of Highways. HE WAS A METHODIST AND A VETERAN OF WORLD WAR II. Surviving: wife, Juanita Smith; stepsons, Darrell Cartright and Darvin Cartright, both of Summersville; stepdaughter, Phyllis Hurt of Smyrna, Tenn.; brother, Okla of Summersville; sisters, Elizabeth Tiano of Phoenix, Ariz., Evelyn Williams of Shoals, Isobel Sweeney and Lillian Ramsey, both of Summersville; five stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in White Funeral Home, Summersville, with the Rev. Harold Duskey officiating. Burial will be in Groves Cemetery, Canvas.
