Sadie Mae McClung, 79, of Mount Lookout, Nicholas County, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
Born May 10, 1925, at Spruce, Pocahontas County, she was a daughter of the late William Frances and Eula Grace Tallman Kane. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and Donald McClung; and by one grandson, Jeremy Edward Bell.
She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Mount Lookout, and was a former nursing supervisor at Summersville Memorial Hospital Extended Care Facility, a former RN at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, and a nurse for Nicholas Home Health. She was a loving mother and caregiver to many.
Survivors include: her husband, George Walter McClung; one daughter and her husband, Kimberly and Timmy Ball of Fayetteville; one son and his wife, George Walter Jr. and Sherri McClung of Mount Lookout; four sisters, Mabel "Jane" Epperly of Virginia, Madleen "Cricket" Surface of Meadow Bridge, Kathleen Albini and Fran Gast, both of California; and six grandchildren, Christi Bell and her fiance, Keith McGraw, Erin McClung, Stacey McClung and Cassie Ball.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at White Funeral Home, Summersville, with the Rev. Phillip Lilly and Dr. Mark McClung officiating. Interment with committal rites will be at 12:30 p.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Weston.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
