HILLDALE - Thelma Mae "Maggie" Via Sims, 91, of Hilldale, formerly of Alderson and Alexandria, Va., died Dec. 9, 1998, in a Hilldale care center after a long illness.
She was a licensed practical nurse and operated nursing homes in Alexandria and Alderson. She was a member of Old Greenbrier Baptist Church, Alderson.
Surviving: son, John David Sims Sr. of Thurmont, Md.; sister, Gladya Via Martin of Princeton; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Lobban Funeral Home, Alderson, with the Rev. C.H. Martin Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Gwinn Memorial Cemetery, Alderson. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
