  The Beckley Post-Herald, Beckley, WV, 12 November 1971 John N. Lawson Dies; Rites Set John N. Lawson, 67, of MacArthur, died Tuesday at his home following a long illness. He was born Aug. 10, 1904, at Royal, a son of the late William and Lucy Redden Lawson. He was a retired diamond core driller. Survivors include his wife, Elsie Smith Lawson; one daughter, Mrs. Howard Harper of Barrackville; one son, Stanley of Huntington, and three brothers, Russell of Peterstown, William of Detroit, Mich., and Woodrow of Cottageville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Wallace and Wallace Chapel in Rainelle with the Rev. D. D. Elwell officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
