  The Charleston Gazette, Charleston, WV, Online Edition, 3 March 2009 Juanita McClung, 89, of Summersville died Monday, March 2, 2009, in Summersville Memorial Hospital. Born September 16, 1919, in Richwood, she was a daughter of the late James W. ?Tuck? and Oda Bennett Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elva McClung, in 1990; and by four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include two sons, Darrell Cartwright of Summersville and Darvin Cartwright of Gilboa; one daughter, Phyllis Hurt of Smyrna, Tenn.; one brother, Bill Smith of Salem, Ohio; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Jordan Chapel United Methodist Church, Canvas with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Groves Cemetery, Canvas, under the direction of White Funeral Home, Summersville. Friends may call one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the church.
