QUINWOOD - Jo Ann Brunty, 54, departed this life Monday, March 10, 2008, following a long illness.
Born Dec. 28, 1953, at Marfrance, she was the daughter of the late Gillespie Willard and Mary Frances Scudder Harmon.
Mrs. Brunty was a homemaker and an active member of Bellburn United Methodist Church. She dearly cherished her family and friends and was loved by all, especially her husband, children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Lee Richmond; and two brothers, Stanley Willard and Eugene Leslie Harmon.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jimmy Lee Brunty; two sons, Howard Joe Richmond and companion, Regina Sue North, and David Allen Richmond and companion, Michelle Peltz, all of Bellburn; four daughters, Pearl Ann Richmond-Beavers of Christiansburg, Va., Mary Ann Richmond of Springfield, Ill., Amy Dawn Beavers and husband, Melvin, of Orient Hill and Debbie Lynn Arnold and companion, Eric Lilly, of Rupert; a brother, Billy Ray Harmon of Marfrance; a sister, Rebecca Gay Goad of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and 13 grandchildren, Brandon, Tamara, Rachiel, Daniel, Casey and Jacob Beavers, Joseph, Jamel, Mikya Davenport, Ariel and Mark Arnold Jr., Noah Richmond and Brianna Lilly.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Rainelle, with Pastor Verlin Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
