Shelby Jean Bryant, 88, of Rainelle passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
She was born on December 17, 1936 at East Rainelle; she was the daughter of the late Omer Edward Carr and Virginia Gwinn Carr.
Shelby was preceded in death by her husband, James E. "Jim" Bryant.
Shelby was a member of Rainelle United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, she was also a Cub Scout Leader. She ran her husband's mining company for years. She was a huge golf enthusiast, a bowler and an avid water-color artist.
Those left to cherish her memory are two sons: Mark Bryant and Greg Bryant & wife Melissa; brother, Gary Carr & wife Joni; two grandchildren: Jaqueline Hickman & husband Bernard and Megan Bryant and Adam Rexroad ; great-grandchildren: Scarlett, Theodore and Sterling Hickman.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2025 at Wallace Memorial Cemetery.
