Beulah "Boots" Arlene Geer, 69, of Tionesta died early Saturday morning, May 7, 2011, at her home. Born Oct. 26, 1941, in Richwood, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Eleanor "Cricket" Boggs of West Virginia.
She was married July 7, 1970, to Gerald F. Geer who survives.
Boots was a long-time wedding cake designer. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, canning and sewing.
She is survived by a son, James Hardman Jr. and his wife Linda of Portland, Tenn.; a daughter, Belinda Burns and her husband Dan of Erie; a daughter, Melissa Frazier of Marble; a daughter, Tina Borger and her husband David of Franklin, a son,Troy Geer and his wife Heather of Leeper; a daughter, Carmen Graham and her husband Vaughn of Tylersburg; a son, Jarrett Geer of Tionesta; a step-son, Gerald F. Geer II; a step-daughter, Kimberly Smith; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cherl Lynn Hardman.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, 12 Railroad Ave., Richwood, W.Va., 26261. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Taylor Cemetery in Fenwick, W.Va.. The family suggests memorials may be made to Clarion Forest VNA Hospice, 271 Perkins Road, Clarion, Pa., 16214. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.fallerfuneralhome.com.
