Kathleen Marie Arthur 88, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on May 9th, 2009. She was born in Atchison, KS, the daughter of Roy and Mary Belle (Garside) Walker. She later moved to El Paso TX, where she married Dorsey E Arthur Jr., on May 7th, 1943. From there she moved to Arizona (via CA) in 1952 where she raised her family until relocating to Albq NM in 1988. She moved back to AZ from New Mexico 3 years ago. Kathleen was an accomplished water-colorist who won numerous awards for her wonderful paintings. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Deborah Perry of Scottsdale, AZ; sons, Tim (wife Ann) and Robert (wife Marlene) Arthur of Phoenix; 5 grandchildren (Robb, Tammy, Stacy, Brian & Justin) and 8 great-grandchildren. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Dorsey Arthur Jr. and her beloved sister Virginia Cook. Kathleen (Kitty) was a loving wife, mother and a joy to everyone she met. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 16th, 2009 at Hansen Mortuary 8314 N 7th Street, Phoenix AZ. Interment will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Sante Fe., NM at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley in her honor.
