In the name of God, Amen. I, Samuel Brailsford, now living at number seven Murray Street in the City of New York, Merchant, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say: First, it is my will that my Funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid and discharged. Secondly, I give and bequeath unto my much loved natural daughter, Frances, the wife of James Plant, the leasehold houses and lot with the appurtenances thereunto belonging where I now reside, and likewise all my real and personal estate in the United States of America which I may be entitled to at the time of my death. I also give and bequeath unto my said daughter, Frances, the reversion of a copyhold estate lying at or near Mansfield Woodhouse in the County of Nottingham in England which was surrendered to me by my Father and Mother in the year one thousand seven hundred and eighty-two in the copyhold court at Mansfield at their death. And I do hereby appoint the said James Plant Executor and my said daughter, Frances, Executrix of this, my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made in witness. Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty-eighth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety-eight.
Saml Brailsford L.B.
