J. H. TURNED [sic] DIES THIS MORNING
J. H. Turner aged 68 who has been suffering for the past two weeks of bright's disease died this morning at 1:30 at his home on Bland street. The remains were taken to Covington, Va., this morning where the burial will take place tomorrow.
Mr. Turner had charge of the boarding of the prisoners at the city hall, aid [sic] was well known in Bluefield. He was a former railroad contractor, with headquarters in Covington, Va., and constructed several branch lines for the Chesapeake & Ohio. He leaves a wife and two daughters.
