HAMPTON- Garry D. Hunter, 63, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 11, 2019. Garry retired from Newport News Shipyard as a Heavy Equipment Crane Operator. He enjoyed watching professional basketball and football, and also loved collecting and selling sports memorabilia. During the warm summer months, you could find him down at Buckroe Beach fishing or cruising in one of his favorite classic hot rod cars. Surviving are his son, Bryan Hunter and wife, Kaitlyn; daughter, Christina Elizabeth Faye Hunter; mother, Eileen Hunter; sister, Deborah Adkins and husband, Stuart; brother, Mark Hunter and wife, Vicky; brother, David Hunter and wife, Darlene; sister, Denise Jonas and husband, Duke; grandchildren, Ian, Kendall, Kingston, Bryson, and Bodie.
