KING, HAROLD K. "KENNY," 69, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (March 1, 2003) at Edward White Hospital of cancer. He was a St. Petersburg native and a 1952 graduate of St. Petersburg High School, where he was co-captain of the basketball team and was named to the All Big Ten Conference Team for two years. He worked 15 years for the St. Petersburg Recreation Department, supervising two community centers and working with the men's basketball program. He was state chairman of men's and boys' sports for the Florida Recreation Association and was an umpire and officer for the Amateur Softball Association for 35 years. He worked for Florida Power Corp. for 26 years, retiring two years ago. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Colleen; and a son, Kevin, two daughters, Kara King and Kallie King, his parents, Harry and Allie K. Hall, and a brother, Malcolm, all of St. Petersburg. R.
