Ernest Ward Dies; Services Planned
CANVAS (RNS) -- Ernest Gray Ward, 63, of Canvas died Thursday in a Summersville hospital after a three-month illness.
He was a retired coal miner and was a lifelong resident Nicholas County.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Minnie Ward; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Ray of Canvas; two brothers, Willis of Canvas and Otis of Ashtabula, Ohio, and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Howard White Funeral Home in Summersville with Rev. Rex Ball in charge. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Nettie.
Friends may call after 4 today.
