Many Marriages of Fall Season Are Announced Today

HARLAN, Ky. - Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Wilder, of Coalgood, announce the marriage of their daughter, June Wilder, to Benna Dann, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Dann, of Madisonville, in a single ring ceremony, Sept. 17, at the home of the officiating minister, the Rev. J. Howard Baxter, at Middlesboro.

Mrs. Olin Collins and Mrs. Frank Alloway, of Harlan, were the only attendants. The couple will make their home in Harlan.

Funeral Notices

Bennie Dann, husband of June Wilder Dann, died Wednesday, Feb. 5 at his residence. A native of Denver, CO, born May 15, 1911 to the late John and Sophia Deannish Dann. He was involved in the construction industry and was a former minining [sic] inspector. He was a member of Gardenside Baptist Church, Shriners Oleika Temple, Robert Sirkle Lodge, Harlan Chapter #297 Order of Eastern Star, a founding member of the Oriental Band of the Oleika Temple, a 32nd Degree Mason, and a Kentucky Colonel. He was also a former member of the Kentucky National Guard. Survivors other than his wife are a daughter, Iris Lynn Dann Turek, and her husband, James N. Turek, Lexington; one sister, Elizabeth Alloway, Harlan, KY; two grandsons, James N. Turek II and Brandon Dann Turek; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland with the Rev. James E. Heard and Dr. C. Gilbert Tucker officiating. Visitation 6-9 p.m. today with Masonic services at 8 p.m. Burial in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, Jessamine Co. Casketbearers will be James N. Turek II, Brandon Dann Turek, James N. Turek, Terry V. Maples and Russell V. Smith. Honorary casketbearers are Charles E. Maples, Ralph Herndon and Carl Soard, Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital, 1900 Richmond Rd., Lexington, 40502.
