COVINGTON - Robert David Stinespring, 53, of Covington died Tuesday (Jan. 21, 1992) at Alleghany Regional Hospital. He was born July 2, 1938 at Bath County, a son of Kenneth and Violet (McCune) Stinespring.
He was a pastry chef at the Homestead and a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was a former driver for Virginia Taxi, Clifton Forge.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Sandra E. Stinespring; a son, Robert David Stinespring Jr. of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Brenda Irvine of Amherst; a stepson, Boyd Smith of China Grove, N.C.; three sisters, Regina Grimm of Millboro, Jerry Campbell of Hot Springs and Gloria Stinespring of Millboro; and three brothers, Ira H. of Scott Depot, W.Va., Samuel A. of Millboro Springs and Wiley D. Stinespring of Millboro.
A service wil be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at McLaughlin Funeral Home by the Revs. William Hartsfeild and Lonnie Lawrence, with burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michel Finel, Joseph Ray Jr., Mack Bird, Jack McCoy, Ernest Diehl, Jim Tennant, Curley Smith and Tom Snead.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at the funeral home.
