Hit By Auto, Boy, 17, Dies
WESTMINSTER - Richard Allen Hansen, 17, son of Clarence W. and Agnes Miller Hanson, 70 South Church Street, Westminster, died at 12:15 a.m. yesterday at the Carroll County General Hospital, Westminster, following an accident at 9:50 p.m. Saturday on Route 140 opposite Munch's Drive-In restaurant.
According to Sgt. John Worgan, Westminster Barracks, the investigating officer, Hansen was walking along with the traffic on Route 140 and was struck by an automobile operated by Euclid Howard Jones, 29, of 3809 Arbutus Avenue, Baltimore, who was traveling east 140 in slow lane traffic.
Dr. Charles L. Petty, Baltimore, assistant medical examiner, attributed death to multiple internal injuries after an autspsy at the Baltimore City Morgue.
Surviving besides his parents one sister, Patricia L.; two brothers, Charles T. and C. Edward at home, his paternal grandfather, Charles W. Hansen, Silver Run, and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mabel Riffe, Westminster.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Meyers funeral home, Westminster, with the Rev. Phillip J. Kemper, pastor of Westminster Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from this evening until the time of services.

Funeral services for Richard Allen Hansen, 17-year-old son of Clarence W. and Agnes Miller Hansen, 70 South Church Street, Westminster, were held yesterday morning at the Myers funeral home, Westminster. The Rev. Philip J. Kemper, pastor of Westminster Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg. Pallbearers were James, Harold, Robert and Harlan Martin, David Hansen and Milburn Hughes. The youth died Sunday morning at the Carroll County General Hospital, Westminster, from injuries sustained the night before when he was struck by an automobile on Route 140.
