Margie Elizabeth Hanson, 80, of Finksburg, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born Aug. 20, 1931, in Bird Hill, she was the daughter of the late George A. and S. Catherine Welch Zepp. She was the wife of the late William Z. Hanson. She was a homemaker who enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables and cooking for friends and family. Surviving are children William LeRoy Hanson, of Manchester, Wanda J. Hanson, of Finksburg, and Allen D. Hanson, of Philadelphia; brother George L. Zepp and wife Nancy, of Westminster; a sister-in-law, Barbara Zepp, of Westminster; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, William R. Zepp. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David L. Meador officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
