He was a retired miner, a member of the Clear Creek Advent Church, and of the United Mine Workers of America. Survivors include his wife, Almer; two sons, Ernest and Henry, both of Clear Creek; two daughters, Mrs. Gracie Rollins of Clear Creek and Mrs. Daisy Stover of Mulberry; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 P. m. Wednesday at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel at Mount Hope by the Rev. Ernest Barley. Burial will be in Toney Cemetery at Tony's Fork.
