PATTERSON - Noah F. Phipps, 61, of Patterson, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 1996.

Mr. Phipps was born July 21, 1935, in East Rainelle, W.V. He was employed in the logging industry in Oregon for 25 years. A one-year resident of Patterson, he was an Army veteran of the Korean War, having served from 1954 to 1957. He was of the Christian faith. He was married to Betty Jean Atkinson on Feb. 6, 1956.

Survivors include two sons, Don L. Phipps of Longview, Wash., and Floyd N. Phipps of Vale, Ore.; one brother, Ulyss Phipps of New Mexico; four sisters, Louise Lloyd of Oregon, Margie of West Virginia, Gertrude of New Mexico and Stella Hunter of West Virginia; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Aug. 10, at the Morrison-Worley Chapel at Piedmont. The funeral service will be Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the funeral chapel with Bill Barker officiating. Burial will be in the Kirkpatrick Cemetery in Greenville.

Noah Floyd Phipps, age 61 of Patterson, MO, died August 6 in Silva, MO, from an apparent heart attack.

He was born in East Rainelle July 21, 1935, son of the late Lewis Edward and Virginia Ellen Phipps.

Mr. Phipps was in the logging industry for 35 years in Oregon.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth; brothers, Hansford, Eddie and Frank; sisters, Effie Chase, Francis Hiser and Blanche Thompson.

Surviving: sons, Don L. of Long View, Washington and Floyd N. of Vale, Oregon; brother Ulyssis Phipps of Arizona; sister Stella Hunter of Meadow Bluff, Margie Counts of Meadow Bridge, Louise Lloyd of Siletz, Oregon and Gertrude Thompson of Lordsburg, New Mexico; 8 grandchildren.

Services were held August 10 at the Morrison-Worley Chapel in Piedmont, MO, with Bill Barker officiating. Burial was at Kirkpatrick Cemetery, Greenville, MO.
