Mrs. Mary Phipps

Mrs. Mary Louvenia Phipps, 74, died yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Della Pomeroy of Kimberly. Funeral services are to be held tomorrow afternoon at the Christian church at Prosperity.

Surviving are five children, Mrs. Pomeroy, Mrs. Nettie Arnold of Maynor, Mrs. Hattie Robinson of Pemberton, Miss Norma Phipps of Kimberly and Mrs. Mary Woods of Mabscott; four sons, Walter Phipps of Meadow Bluff, Nemiah Phipps of Mabscott and Enoch Phipps of Beaver; two sisters and a brother and 43 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.


Mary married David Crockett PHIPPS, son of Eli FIPPS and Mary Ann DANIEL, on 4 May 1880 in Beckley, Raleigh Co., WV.266 (David Crockett PHIPPS was born on 9 Jul 1857 in Sand Lick, Raleigh Co., VA,267,268 died on 26 Apr 1933 in Sprague, Raleigh Co., WV 268,269 and was buried on 28 Apr 1933 in Church Of Christ Cemetery, Prosperity, Raleigh Co., WV 268,269.). The cause of his death was dropsy.
