Mrs. Arnold Is Taken By Death
Mrs. Nettie Arnold, 75, of 112 Kaiser St., died at 11:00 a.m. Friday in a local hospital, following an extended illness.
Born in Raleigh County, July 22, 1886, she was a member of the Regular Baptist church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. M. H. Gates, Mrs. Edith A. Mays and Mrs. Kermit Alley, all of Beckley, Mrs. H. E. Stasick of Maryland and Mrs. T. R. Walker of Huntington; two sons, Denifred of Oak Hill and Winifred of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two brothers, Lewis Phipps of Greenbrier County and Walter Phipps of Milburn; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Honaker, Miss Norma Phipps and Miss Wavie Phipps, all of Beckley; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Webb and Neal Funeral Home pending completion of arrangements.
