John N. Lawson Dies; Rites Set
John N. Lawson, 67, of MacArthur, died Tuesday at his home following a long illness.
He was born Aug. 10, 1904, at Royal, a son of the late William and Lucy Redden Lawson.
He was a retired diamond core driller.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Smith Lawson; one daughter, Mrs. Howard Harper of Barrackville; one son, Stanley of Huntington, and three brothers, Russell of Peterstown, William of Detroit, Mich., and Woodrow of Cottageville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Wallace and Wallace Chapel in Rainelle with the Rev. D. D. Elwell officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville. Friends may call until the funeral hour.
John married Elsie C. SMITH, daughter of Joseph Harvey SMITH and Mary Jane SIMS. (Elsie C. SMITH was born on 9 Jan 1910 in Spring Dale, Fayette Co., WV,55,78 died on 15 Mar 1999 in Fayette Co., WV 55 and was buried on 18 Mar 1999 in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, Greenbrier Co., WV 74.)
