MacARTHUR - Elsie Smith Lawson, 89, of MacArthur died March 15, 1999, in a Fayette County nursing home after a long illness.
She was a homemaker and a member of Big Sewell Baptist Church.
Surviving: daughter, Laverne Harper of Summersville; son, Stanley R. of Atlanta; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Service will be noon Thursday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Houston Booth officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
